Along with your instructor know the basic details of each of these areas, such as the management of the compass in the Underwater Navigation Specialty, or the effects of the pressure when performing simple mathematical operations at depths greater than 18 meters, in the Deep Diving specialty.

In the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course you’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – and you choose the other three, for a total of five dives. The other three areas of knowledge that you must complete to obtain the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification will be chosen by you according to your tastes, preferences and desire to know new elements of the underwater world, and you have to choose among all of these:

• Digital Underwater Photographer
• Underwater Videographer
• Wreck Diver
• Night Diver
• Peak Performance Buoyancy
• Underwater Naturalist
• Search and Recovery Diver

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course can be done intensively, 5 dives during 3 days, or at your own pace, doing one by one the adventure dives whenever you want, without hurry. When you have 5 adventure dives, including the two mandatory ones, you will be able to obtain the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
